According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac the last frost date for Tacoma, WA is March 24th!
This year I have a few goals for the garden; one of them is to certify our yard as a wildlife habitat, which means I’ve been doing a lot of research about native plants to install, ways we can support pollinators and better ways to water the garden.
In the front yard we have 7 raised beds and four areas surrounding the main vegetable beds for flowers to attract pollinators, but this year I want to have dedicated buttefly, bee and hummingbird beds.
Have you planted a butterfly garden? Any tips or tricks?
